Children in a Writer’s Life

On May 15, 2024, my little girl came into the world (amazing!), and my way of being a writer changed.

To write, a writer needs to be written first by life.

How could I write something worth reading if I didn't make myself a blank page and accept that life sips me with his pen?

When my first child was born, I managed to carve out time to write, but I listened a little to what was being born inside me.

Now that my second child has been born, the time to write has become even less. However, this has generated silence within me, and I now feel like life is writing me, like on paper.

When I don't write, I suffer. Nevertheless, I now know that this is a productive suffering. Like every sleepless night I spend cradling my children, so waiting for writing predisposes me to it.

I love my children. I love writing. These loves are my light, even when my eyes are closed.
