The Shortform

Christmas is not the loveliest time of the year for me. Every Christmas activity seems to require a lot of effort.

For people like me whom Yuletide reminds of losses and change, sometimes this season takes too long. Celebrating the birth of the Christian Saviour fills me with thankfulness but it is the absence of Santa’s visits, the empty chairs, and those precious memories of past merriment that isolate me.
