Is It Just Me Or Does It Happen To You Too?

It’s not just me. Maybe I feel this way because you’re feeling it too. So, I’m going to tell you why I show up.

When it gets tough,

— I show up because art is transformational.

— Because writing is therapeutic, I show up to share my stories and inspire others.

— Because art sets my soul on fire, I show up to stoke the flames mercilessly.

— I show up because I chose this path, answering without hesitation when art called out to me.

When showing up gets difficult or things seem out of place with my journey, I take a minute to recall why I chose this path.

Note To Self —

On days when you struggle to make sense of why you create, take a sledgehammer down memory lane and smash those doubts to pieces.
