Did you know? ( Part 3)
Which body part never stops growing?
We all have not one but two body parts that never stop growing. Now, what are they? They are our nose and ears. They always keep getting bigger even when the rest of the body’s growth has come to a halt.
Now, why does this happen?
It happens because our noses and ears are made of cartilage. Bones, stop growing after puberty, and muscle and fat cells also stop dividing. However, cartilage- plastic-like stuff in our nose and ears continues to grow so. Not only that the earlobes elongate from gravity with time and that makes the ears look larger as the year passes by. The structure and skin of the nose stretch out and sag downwards with time. Thus, making the nose look larger.
