Do What Matters

I don’t know about you, but this was a tough week. We have new pressures every day, we should have seen it coming.

I’ll tell you a secret about myself. I like to mess with people and argue in emails just to get them worked up. Hard to believe, I know, right? Even though we’re scheduling the drop in customer order that has to ship today, I like to make them think we can’t.

Then my boss calls.

I explain that we had three days to ship this order, and someone dragged their feet for two of them.

Why isn’t it a priority for everyone? You can’t be everyone’s babysitter. How do you make others do their jobs? You don’t.

You can only do your job and do it well. Your work ethic carries you through to do what matters and complete the job on time.
