What do people do when they can’t concentrate and work productively?

Chances are, they blame it on distractions.

As if…

The mobile phone started scrolling on its own, the newsfeed ran automatically, you got logged into social media by mistake, and the mailbox opened by default.

Identify the Root Cause

Yes, you’re surrounded by distractions. But there’s nothing perplexing about them.

Distractions only disrupt your focus when you allow them to.

Often, boredom, lack of interest, fatigue, or the difficulty of a task create a vulnerability that permits distractions to seep in.

If you want to work productively, identify and address the triggers.

Set rules, establish boundaries, and say no.

Stay present while working. Take rest when tired.

You know where it’s going: the onus is on you.

Final Thoughts

Distractions are everywhere, always have been and always will be. Stop hiding behind excuses and start fixing your focus.
