Don’t Bribe Me, Buddy
The Michelin restaurant critic was dining peacefully and, he thought, anonymously. The roast was so-so … might as well resign himself to enjoying that decent glass of Bordeaux.
The manager walked over… introduced himself and offered a bribe.
The critic shot a steely-eyed look; the manager’s voice cracked, and he hurried away, knowing he’d made a terrible mistake. That was certainly no way to fix such a terrible meal.
