My uncle called to tell me he received a call claiming to be from Amazon and they needed him to download an app that would allow Amazon “remote access” to his phone.

Don’t do it!!

Ask yourself these questions before giving any information to an incoming caller:

  1. Was the call unexpected? If so, hang up!
  2. Are they demanding? they’re trying to pressure you!
  3. Are they asking you to pay by phone? That gives the scammer your information!
  4. Are you being pressured to give information over the phone, make a commitment or allow the call to be forwarded?

Ask for their name number and department and then call the company in question.

Don’t fall for scammers and don’t let your loved ones fall victim either!
