Where are we heading?
Think about it, deeply. Set aside the common responses, such as technological advancement and human development. What then? Is there something that goes beyond the current moment, an inescapable scenario? Every day we wake up and continue with our days, in a very mechanical and repetitive manner. Individual purpose, ideologies, and lifestyles may help justify our actions and give us a sense of direction; however, they may simply be that: justifications. Eliminate purpose, ideologies, and lifestyles from the equation. Now what? Where are we heading? Is there something that awaits us all, both on an individual and global level of which we cannot escape? Death, sure. But, is being alive and human a precursor to a certain path, the one we’re currently headed to? What is that path? Self-destruction? Caterpillars bloom into butterflies. What do we bloom into?
