In the 1980s and 1990s, scientists discovered a hole in the ozone layer caused by human-made chemicals called CFCs.

Governments around the world took action to phase out CFCs, and the good news is that the hole is slowly healing.

However, it will take several decades for the ozone layer to fully recover.

We don’t hear about the hole in the ozone layer anymore because it is no longer an urgent issue requiring immediate action.

Thanks to the efforts of scientists, governments, and the public, we have made significant progress in protecting the ozone layer, and the hole is gradually getting smaller.

While it is important to continue monitoring the situation, we can be proud of the progress we have made in protecting our planet.
