How To Sit Properly While Working at Your Laptop

Photo by Luca Bravo on Unsplash

It seems as though laptops computers were designed to encourage bad posture. This results in headaches, muscle strain, and painful neck, shoulder, and hand injuries.

Our body was not meant to sit all day in front of a computer screen. Why — we weren’t designed to sit all day at all.

Even if we are no longer out there hunting and gathering, we must remember this:

  • While sitting in front of a computer screen, your body must form 90-degree angles at the elbows, knees, and hips.
  • Get an ergonomic chair with good back support.
  • Position the computer to read the screen without bending your neck.
  • Take breaks. Stay hydrated.

Simple things and yet, when we get sucked into cyberspace, we forget these things. Stay healthy!
