I am flooded with posts about the changes to the Medium Partner Program

When I saw the headline on the home page, I was hopeful and went over to read. Revolutionary changes to the MPP, they’re calling them. Not for writers based in India though, I am afraid. For us, it is basically rubbing salt into an already festering wound. Grateful, of course, that we’re allowed to pay Medium to be members.

Regardless, I enjoy Medium for the freedom to simply write and publish — and the community. The audience development-email subscription feature is a bonus.

As for attracting new subscribers/readers to increase your earnings per the changes to the MPP, I find it ironic, considering that most publications mention minimal self-promotion in their writing guidelines.
