I Lost All My Notes
Don’t do what I did.
A few months ago, I noticed my phone was slow to charge. Thinking nothing of it, I continued to use it as usual, texting friends and taking notes of ideas that came to my head. Then one day when my phone wouldn’t charge at all. “It’s okay,” I thought, “I’ll visit a phone repair shop later.”
For a second, I thought about transferring my notes elsewhere. Save them to Google Docs or Scrivener. But then I didn’t.
And now everything is gone. My phone was unsalvageable and every note I had: story ideas, blog topics, to-do lists. Months of stuff. Gone.
So a word of advice to anyone who has been meaning to transfer their data but has been putting it off:
Back your stuff up now before you end up like me.
