It was a truly humbling experience…

Us humans like to think of ourselves as better than or more than other animals.

Our brain is so large and complex. Our hands are capable of intricate tool use. However, when it comes to dating and mating… I’d like to say we’re very basic.

Male pigeons dance around female pigeons to attract them and mate. They fluff up, and go in circles while performing a distinct coocooing sound.

Humans aren’t very different.

Go to a bar or nightclub and you’ll most likely see the same thing — males dancing around their potential female mate.

You could call it ridiculous, but I call it humbling.

We’re really not that different after all. Perhaps you’ll look at pigeons differently from now on?
