I’m Conflicted About WWII Veterans and Their Passing Away

I majored in history. I have a deep understanding of and appreciation for those who fought in WWII. They fought the good fight. They died defending good principles. In theory.

The white side of my family fought. The Asian side of my family was still in Japan. The WWII veterans I met as a teen and young woman during the 70s and 80s often said terrible things to me…
