It began with On Golden Pond. I was only 8 years old when I saw it in the theatre with my mom, but I could relate to the story of Chelsea, the daughter estranged from her cold, judgmental father.
Chelsea was portrayed magnificently by Jane Fonda. Her real-life dad, Henry Fonda, played her father. Her performance made my heart ache. I wanted to be an actress like her.
How many magnificent & brilliant, full lives has Jane Fonda had? Daughter of a Hollywood legend. Captivating actress. Fierce activist who inspired the haters of the Vietnam era & beyond. Fitness queen way before it was cool. Wife of a tycoon.
