I just read a literature from Jay Shetty which made so much sense to me. I think it would make sense to you too.
He said:
It’s up to you to make a choice, between everything that is love and everything that isn’t love. Majority of people make life far more difficult than it needs to be. Why? Because they’ve let their hearts learn to react in ways that aren’t love-like. You have a choice in what you give back when you are confronted with something that makes you angry, resentful, or otherwise negative. Your response has the potential to change the situation. Make it resemble love. Anything less would be a waste of time. It’s past time for you to express your affection. — Jay Shetty
