Let Yourself Feel
We hear how we should view life with a glass-half-full mentality; realistically we aren’t always going to feel this way. There are days when we feel like we’re drowning in the current of life.
We’re allowed to sit in this feeling, it’s healthy to do for a period of time. However, doing this for too long is when it becomes unhealthy. We need to be able to feel without letting it consume our lives.
It’s how we pick ourselves up that makes the difference. Getting knocked down multiple times isn’t a bad thing if you find a way to pick yourself back up every time. This builds resilience and strength that will prove valuable in the future.
Allow yourself to feel, but have a cut-off point. Pick yourself back every time and you will find the strength to take on the most difficult challenges.
