We often take small things for granted

It is fair to say that we only look at the little things in life when we feel dejected. At other times, when we are in a state of bliss, everything escapes our eyes—at least most of the time.

We finally wake up from a trance to find beauty in the little movement of the leaves that sway with the wind, how the smell of dirt after a drizzle cleanses our souls, how vast the universe is, and that we are merely a speck of dust.

Sadness reveals a lot more than you can ever imagine. What appears to be an hour-long process of internalizing all the bad things turns out to be a wild epiphanic moment, where we eventually understand the insignificance of our issues. Our problems are the biggest to us, but none of what we do matters in the grand scheme of things.
