Love Your Fate
The word amor fati
Amor fati means “embracing your destiny.” It’s all about having a mindset where you see everything in your life, even pain and loss, as something that had to happen. It’s like saying, “Whatever happens, happens for a reason, and I’m going to embrace it, learn from it, and grow because of it.”
In the book Man’s Search for meaning Viktor Frankl beautifully describes “You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you will feel and do about what happens to you.”
No matter what happens in life, it gives an unfair advantage when one accepts that even though it is not something you want, it is something you are given at this moment. Taking control of one’s actions, perceptions, and emotions and having extreme ownership of everything thrown at you is first step for moving ahead in life.
