One afternoon that continues to pay dividends
I’ll never forget the day my daughter learned to make pies.
A friend from church asked our daughter if she would like to learn how to make pies. My daughter liked the idea, and her decision has been paying dividends ever since. From our oven have emerged all manner of pies — blueberry, lemon meringue, mango, apple, and more!
In a world where people are consumed with looking out for themselves, investing time in others makes an impact far beyond what we can calculate or imagine.
I hope someday my daughter will share this pie-making gift with a young person who wants to learn how to make pies. And I hope the things I share with my children and others will pay similar dividends both now and in the future.
