“The bedrock tool of a creative recovery is a daily practice called Morning Pages.”

If you want to boost that writer’s creativity, just start doing this one easy but effective thing. It is the habit of ‘Morning Pages’, introduced by Julia Cameron, the author of “The Artist’s Way”. Morning Pages involve writing three pages of stream-of-conscious thoughts first thing in the morning. They are not supposed to be published- they are for your eyes only.

There is no order, structure, or story. Your morning page is about anything. Simply, write anything that comes to mind — strange, funny, boring, grumpy, ordinary, dull. There are only two rules:

1. Do it first thing in the morning

2. Write until you finish three pages- even if you write ‘I don’t know what to write about’.

As you continue this habit, you will find that your mind becomes clearer and more focused.
