It’s impossible to solve a complicated issue you’re having inside your head.

You must get your thoughts out in the open to see them clearly. To then make heads and tails of it all.

It’s one of the reasons we need someone to listen to us. Not only to feel heard but to make sense of our thoughts.

We can better understand what’s really going on and then restructure the narrative that way.

If you’re the one listening, you have to stop yourself from jumping in and trying to solve the problem for them.

While guiding them with questions can be helpful, it’s crucial for them to arrive at their own insights.

Your role is to simply listen without judgment and with compassion.

If you realise they need help coming out with it, letting your guard down first is a great way to gain their trust.
