Quiet Quitting Isn’t a Thing

It literally doesn’t exist

Photo by Laura Skinner on Unsplash

God, social media loves a new buzzphrase, doesn’t it? First, it was the “Great Resignation,” and now it’s “quiet quitting.”

Here’s the thing, though: quiet quitting doesn’t exist. The definition of it is “performing your assigned work during your contracted hours” — mate, you spelt “doing your job” wrong.

If not, volunteering for unpaid overtime is somehow “quitting” and I guess I handed in my resignation 15 years ago.
