Red Beauty

On a street called Edgar Poe
Near the park Buttes-Chaumont
With a view overlooking Montmartre
There is a vintage red Alfa Romeo

The red beauty is a work of art
Lit perfectly by the setting golden sun
Framed by a large green bush
That grows behind her

The street is empty
The proud owner is alone with her
Caressing, polishing
Whispering to his beauty

Finished he stands back
Looking at her with wonder
Proud to be seen with her
Proud that she is his

He takes another look
Then slowly, gently, enters her
Feeling the soft tan leather beneath him
His hand falls into the crevice between the seats

He leans his head back
Closes his eyes
Grateful to be inside
His red beauty
