The constant reminder is an unwanted precursor when describing me.

The constant need to remind me or others when discussing me, that I am Black is insensitive and demeaning.

The precursor to describing me would be better if you called me the fat employee, the overly flamboyant guy, the guy with the bald head will do.

To engage in a conversation where you describe me as the Black guy in the office, the Black guy who wears the cap, or the Black guy who wears the nice clothes is totally uncalled for.

Avoid using race to describe someone, especially in a casual conversation. Our race does not describe us. Our ethnicity has no bearing on who we are.
