Show The ShortForm Some Love

Tell me why you like to share short stories with us

During my writing journey here on Medium, I was asked a perplexing question by someone who said:

“Longform articles are harder to write than shortform… they’re too easy.”

Personally, I totally disagree with him.

Writing shortform requires a challenging mind.

Whereas Longform writing has no bounds and no word limits that need to be adhered to, attempting to compose something meaningful and useful within such a small amount of 150 words, takes effort, and more than simply an admirable embrace of the nearest thesaurus.

So, I am handing the floor over to you all who regularly submit shortform to our publication.

What do you think?

Do you find discovering the right words easy, or do you often dip into a handy thesaurus, to discover where just one word can easily replace several?

Tell us, don’t be shy.

Drop us a line and say why you enjoy writing shortform.
