The end of the year. Everyone is writing resolutions to improve whatever they feel they need to.

And you feel that urge to do it yourself.

It is what everyone does, after all!

So you write down a list of New Year’s resolutions. Some of your own, some inspired by others’ lists.

But it is only January, and you have already failed!

Now you feel miserable; you believe you will never be able to make those changes.

STOP!

It’s time to grab your list of resolutions and analyze it.

Read each item and ask yourself:

Did I set a goal, or did I make a wish?

Because there is a fundamental difference between a goal and a wish — the goal is your responsibility; the wish is not.
