On December 4th the University of Michigan Wolverines played a championship football game against the Georgia Bulldogs in which they honored victims of the November 30th Oxford High School shooting. Wolverine players donned patches including one that read “TM 42,” representing star football player Tate Myre’s uniform number. Call it divine intervention, call it coincidence, call it whatever you’d like but the Wolverines went on to win that champion game by scoring 42 points.

I call it poignant and touching.

Tate Myre, 16, one of four students killed during the tragic shooting at Oxford High School, reportedly ran toward Ethan Crumbley as Ethan carried out his murderous spree.

Tate’s friends and family are heartbroken but not surprised because they say that’s just who he was, selfless.

I choose to believe 42 stars aligned.
