Sometimes It Looks Worse Than It Is

I had a huge medical bill, or so I thought. It looked out of control; How am I ever going to pay it? When I really looked at it, there are several little bills to make up the whole account. I decided to start by paying off the smallest and then go to the next. When I realized most of them were $19 or $20 I paid them off one by one. They added up to under $200, leaving 3 other larger ones.

Reducing the number of lines, now there are only three bills. I can attack these from smallest to largest as well. When I simplified the account, it’s not so overwhelming.

Don’t react out of emotion and fear. Relax and look at the situation and set up small tasks. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
