Steps to Take if Your Medium Account Gets Blocked

Two days ago, my account was blocked — without an email notification from Medium. Initially, I panicked (though this was counterproductive).
If this ever happens to you, here are my suggestions for self-troubleshooting.
✅ Refresh your browser page
✅ Exit Medium, then try re-accessing same
✅ Open the platform via a private window
✅ Check if you can access via the mobile app
✅ Double check your email (to see if Medium support notified you)
After all of the above, it was bullet #4 where I was successful that told me it had to be a system (or Macbook) glitch.
Still, I contacted Medium support (even if you’re blocked, you can still contact them). The next day, it was resolved.
