It stands alone with a longing glare
Never taking its eyes off the prize
Lighting our day with no surprise

What glamour exudes from its light
Nothing can stop its divine delight
We look on in the hope to end the night
In the morning where all is made right

So powerful are each glorious flare
Turns a phone call to a failed snare
The majestic view of the northern lights
It reminds us life has many flights
