The Collapse of Conscience in a Relativist World
A plague on human integrity
Moral relativism has become a defining plague of our modern age, eroding shared principles and rendering ethical accountability near obsolete. In a culture where ‘truth’ is reduced to opinion and morality and is framed as subjective preference, contradictions flourish unchecked. Leaders preach justice while exploiting the powerless, corporations flaunt virtue-signaling campaigns while engaging in exploitation, and individuals excuse their betrayals under the guise of emotional righteousness and personal truth.
This ethical hypocrisy fosters cynicism and confusion, dulling humanity’s moral acumen. Without an anchoring commitment to objective values such as integrity, responsibility, and compassion, society becomes vulnerable to manipulation and corruption.
Relativism, marketed as tolerance, instead breeds apathy and self-serving rationalizations. What has resulted is a fractured collective conscience, where deception and exploitation thrive in the absence of discernible standards.
To reclaim human dignity and genuine freedom, a return to timeless ethical principles is not optional, but an essential choice.
