It’s a phenomenon many writers experience

There’s something called “Post Boost Paralysis” that was mentioned several times by members of my writing community.

Lisa Kelly Zuba felt it when she got a Boost. You feel paralyzed and start thinking too much about whether you can continue to deliver on that promise and publish more Boost-worthy stories.

Ben Ulansey shared with us in a live session it was easy for him at first

He expected to talk into the void. If that’s your expectation, you can only exceed your expectations.

Fast forward to today, he got Boosted more than 75x.

It’s smart to be clear about your vision

That could be to write a book about your stories, get freelance clients, or just have fun writing and sharing stories.

Much like Olympic athletes, it’s important to find a purpose in writing. Often the purpose is too tied up with performance metrics, attention and achievements.
