The Surfers

On the water, joyful

The day began in a fog that floated over the water The waves were big and their violence evident.

But still, they went into the water, these beginners, surfboards floating with them, attached by the umbilical cords that would keep them close.

The waves crashed down around, thrashing them under, bringing boards to smack bodies and heads.
