The world needs more people who’ve come alive.

More than breathing and being blessed with a pumping heart, what does it mean to be alive?

It’s morning, a new day, a new beginning.

Come out of the sleep. Awaken. Discover for yourself. Investigate for yourself. Think for yourself. Don’t take anything you hear for the truth without investigating it — from different perspectives.

Being alive implies certain rights; it also implies responsibilities. There cannot be one without the other. Responsibilities may seem heavy, but it’s what gives your life meaning. It means you can do something. You are more than a victim of your circumstances; your life has meaning; you have a unique task. Make it happen.

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

— Howard Thurman
