To Every Young Writer Suffering Low Self-Esteem
My low self-esteem experience - Series 1
There’s a wide gap between Low Self-esteem and the mere Fear of your work not being good enough.
Although the latter might also be the result of the former.
As a Low Self-esteem survivor, I realized that no matter how great any piece I wrote was, I was never proud of it.
I dreaded reading through my comments section or asking for reviews from my client. I couldn’t deal with how anyone felt about me.
When I was praised, I felt they were trying to make me feel good. When I was criticized, I felt the world would collapse around me.
If you feel your work is not great enough to share, and you cringe at it, it might just be something deeper that you either haven’t discovered or you’ve failed to acknowledge.
Until you address the wound and allow proper healing, you’d keep repeating the same cycle.
