We live under the guise of being informed and knowledgeable. In our quest for convenience, we have given our power away. Our phones tell us whatever we would like to know plus some things we don’t want to know. Our watches tell us if we have walked enough or gotten enough sleep. Social media feeds us opinions on who and what to like and dislike. It is as if we have placed voluntary tethers on ourselves.

Yielding to these conveniences has allowed unlimited access to our minds.

As we consume steady diets of information it is important to evaluate what we consume and how much of it we consume.

We have left ourselves to our own devices and lost real connection with the world.

We can change by embracing silent moments, enjoying nature, and having more conversations in person. Taking these actions can help us reconnect in meaningful ways.
