Update on issues with displaying short form content

Recently, I wrote about issues with displaying short form correctly, meaning in whole without being truncated by a Read More button.

As the Medium team states in the blog post below, the recent update has the following consequences for short form:

• Whether a short form is truncated depends on the paywall.
• If you decide to meter the story and make money from it, it is truncated with a Read More button. The preview shows the heading and the featured image or the first 30 words if you have no featured image.
• If you publish an unmetered story, it shows in whole on profile streams and publications.

I want to assure you that The Shortform accepts both metered and unmetered stories. It is only for the story's creator to decide whether he puts his work behind the paywall.
