Versatile basil grows sweet and easy
The smell of basil can be intoxicating.
Its distinct anise aroma will linger like a soft garden balm on my hands.
In the summer the herb grows next to my tomato plants.
A natural pairing that adds a kick of flavor to any homemade spaghetti sauce.
Basil comes in other varieties including lemon and cinnamon.
