I recently moved to Vienna from Germany. Altogether I’ve been living in Europe for 24 years this month, mainly in Germany, though I did have a previous two-year stint at the other end of Austria.

One of the things I love in both countries is Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake).

Vienna is well-known for its coffee culture. You can find a café almost on every street corner where you can relax, chat, read, or just pass the time.

Walking back to my apartment yesterday I happened upon a lovely café called Gundis.

My apple cake and cappuccino were beautifully presented and delicious.

I will definitely be back!

Any Vienna tips for me? (restaurants, cafés, museums, shops, etc.)
