What Makes An Old Article Go Viral?

I have barely written anything freelance in 12 months. I hate it, but life is busy as heck when you have a full-time writing job, a part-time degree course and a chronic illness to manage.

Imagine my surprise then, when I discovered that I earnt an extra £225 this month! Turns out this article has gone semi-viral:

Nice Pussy!

This did get some attention when it was published….back in 2023. It made £25 then, a nice little earner, all things considered.

I’m not complaining — who doesn’t like money— but I’m so curious. Has this popped up in your feed lately? What makes a two-year-old article suddenly gain traction?

I’m proud of this piece, so it’s all good, but really, I’m so confused!
