“With age comes wisdom”

With age come also more acceptance of our mortality, so did this recent survey show.

The survey involved 19,000 participants from 17 advanced economies. It gathered the main factors contributing to meaningfulness in life.

The family remains at the top of the ranking by importance for (almost) everyone.

But the next elements on the list are somewhat different across age groups.

Young adults (under 30) cited friends and community and career as the next important sources of fulfillment in life.

Mature adults (30–64) give great importance to career and material wellbeing.

The elderly (65+) are much more focused on their material wellbeing, physical and mental health. Where they live also influences their quality of life.

And for you, what makes your life meaningful?

Love, Jessica
