Why Curation Doesn’t Bother Me
Recently I read an article by the one and only Tom Kuegler, with which I couldn’t agree more.
Since I started my Medium journey, Curation seemed to be the boogeyman every writer was bound to defeat if they wanted success on the platform.
I admit I got excited when I got my first curated article.
Then what would follow? I was promised success and money out of curation.
Safe to say it didn’t happen. The more I read about Curation the more I started doubting its application and, consequently, the less I cared about it.
I don’t write that often in Medium unless I feel like it — regardless of the topic.
However, Curation determines which articles are more “valuable” for the community.
It kind of defeats my purpose here, but I don’t care.
I’ll just continue posting.
