Why I Love to Write Shortform

Shortform is great fun. You whip out your pen and make a quick note of any odd bits and pieces floating around in that silly old noggin of yours.

Like this.

Sometimes, those thoughts run out of steam and dissipate into nothingness. Other times, they take you on an unexpected joy ride that’s short, sweet, and to the point.

Aside from being a great way to collect those odd bits and pieces, it’s the challenge of shaping those words to make the greatest possible impact in the shortest possible space I love the most.

It’s like Bruce Lee’s one-inch punch. With the exact wording and perfect placement, 150 is all you need to knock them off their feet.

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times” — Bruce Lee.
