Why “No Problem” is a Problem
“Thank you!” I regularly say. I say it because I am appreciative.
“No problem,” people regularly respond. Why? Because there had been a problem and now there is none? I don’t think that’s what they mean.
What I think they mean is “Oh, it was no problem.” Which, if you consider for just a few seconds, translates, “It was nothing.” Not worth mentioning. Which is an incredibly dismissive…
