Cauldrons and Melting Pots

A cauldron of spiritualities exists in our melting pot American experiment. It might surprise you to learn the real witches live among us. And while 0.4% may sound like a negligible number to you, there are now more Wiccans than Presbyterians, a common Christian denomination.

Growing Covens

In 1990, only 8,000 US Citizens identified as Wiccan per the US Census. By 2008, that number grew exponentially to 342,000. That number exploded again by 2014 to upwards of 1.5 million.

New Age for all

While a slim minority consider themselves Wiccan, a majority believe in some New Age beliefs. 60% of Americans believe in either astrology, psychics, reincarnation, or spiritual energy in objects.

It’s no wonder the New York Times recently asked, “When Did Everybody Become a Witch?”
