I recently ventured back to indoor music performances to hear some friends' new band play Yacht Rock. If you are unfamiliar with the genre, it is soft rock music, mainly from the 1970s and early 1980s. During the show, I began posting nuggets of their performance on social media comically explaining why the song was "Yacht Rock" — reminiscent of Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck if."

I thought perhaps my quips could guide those unfamiliar with the term "Yacht Rock" yet unknowingly love it too. Click below to see if this music style is your thing.
