This time last year, I opened up The Shortform. Twelve months later, we’ve amassed 2.4k followers, 81,708 reading minutes in the last 30 days, and an average of 3,175 visitors a day.

We are one, if not the fastest-growing shortform publication on Medium, and truly found our niche over here:

  • We’re serving our fellow readers with little chunks of content, just right when being short on time or energy. Snack-sized creativity to go, if you like.
  • We’re also serving our fellow writers who are clenched between 9–5 jobs, family duties, and other responsibilities. We provide additional reach for the content they managed to create in those valuable breaks of the daily grind.

Reflecting on the last 12 months of Shortform, I’m more than happy with how this place has developed! Onto the next 12!

Kind Regards,
Tom

Will it be worth it?

Last week, I decided it was time to up my financial game.

Over the previous years, I successfully improved my money mindset and educated myself about monetary wealth.

However, I have been afraid of investing. Fear of the unknown has been holding me back. So I decided to use a small amount of my monthly income to invest in renewable energies and crypto.

Is it risky? Maybe. I am aware that the worst possible outcome is that I lose all investments.

But consider this: the money in my savings accounts just sits there, waiting to have its value reduced over time. And who knows if it will not be wiped out by some unforeseen banking crash or some other catastrophe I don’t want to dream up right now.

What do you think about investing in crypto? Any tips or recommendations?
