How to Find Niches for Article Writing
First of all, the topic choices — this is the main part of article writing.
Consider what people want to read, so choose niche topics wisely. I noticed that on Medium, most people like these topics,

- Health
- Self Improvement
- Sell Digital Products
- and many more…
But the selection is yours. There are plenty of hot topics that you can find on Medium and other top 100 websites like these,
- Forbes
- Newyorktimes
- Cnet
- Google News
- Youtube
- etc
Google News is the best source of hot news. You can collect hot topics in your niches by clicking on top categories like Technology, Sciences, Health World, Local, etc. See which story is most viewed by people, then rewrite this story in your own words and publish it on Medium & Boom…
Now go to your main topic category and see what interests you to write about. In this main category, you can find sub-categories.
For example, if you click on Technology, you can see sub-categories like these ones below:
There are many ways to get niche topics on which you can write, so don’t be confused. Select any sub-category like mobile, internet, AI, etc., and choose any news from it. Rewrite it in your own words.
I mostly write on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Make Money Online. You can search your query in Google News and find relevant articles on your niche, like this one below:
The search showed old articles, but don’t worry. There is also an option that you can use to filter Google News using those filters and see the latest ones, like this setting.
- Click on the Dropdown menu.
- Choose the Date option from the Dropdown menu for the past hour.
- Then click on the Search button.
You can get new, latest stories on your given search topic, like this one published 24 minutes ago.
Now, open the URL and start rewriting this article in your own words. How simple this is! It might be challenging in the beginning to find and write the article, but when you gain some experience, you will enjoy this work.
Keyword Research for Article
I am an SEO expert, and I’ve noticed that if you research keywords before writing an article, it can get you more views and reads.
You can use free and paid tools for keyword research, such as Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, etc.
But I use Ahrefs, and I’ve tested it many times. If you put your keyword in your article title and in the article body, it will rank easily in Google because Medium has good domain authority.
This way, you will get organic traffic from Google and can get more views, read time, and earn more.
My one article is ranked at #3 on Google for “Best Micro Jobs Sites” and I will show you its stats.
As you can see, this article ranks at #3, and I’ve got 6900 views and 3700 reads. Mostly, views are coming from Google Search.

My article “15 Best Micro Jobs Sites for Making Money Fast” gained 3.5k views only from Google, which is a significant number. This means keyword research is a crucial part of an article if you want to make money from it in the long term.
Use Eye Catchy Titles But Be Honest
I noticed that Meidum writers get more views and reads on those articles that have eye-catching titles, like:
- I made $4000 in 30 Days
- Make $50000 from Youtube Faceless Channel
- $10000 from Selling Print of Demand
- Bla Bla Bla
I suggest that if you’re writing eye-catching titles, don’t do it just for clickbait. Don’t mislead people. You know, the majority of people are living under the poverty level; they need money for their livelihoods. Don’t harm them just to make your own money online.
Please be honest and write original content. Even if you’re sharing other people’s success stories, try to provide an exact step-by-step guide for others to follow. This builds trust, and people will come back to read your stories again and again.
Use High Quality Images for Articles
I use Canva to create the featured images for most of my Medium posts because you will get high CTR(Click Through Rate), and you can use its free version too. I use the paid version, which has more features and tools to enhance your images. Here are some examples I made using Canva below:
Use Facebook and Whatsapp Groups for Engagement
I’ve mentioned before that if you want to make $2, $3, $5, $10, or even more from one article, the key is to join Facebook groups and engage with other writers. It’s an easy process.
Just go to Facebook and search for “Medium Writers”. You’ll find a bunch of Facebook groups to join and then engage with other writers.

There are also many WhatsApp groups where you can join and engage with others to make more money.
